This year, we are working with Rumah Gahara to produce one of the most fundamental designs in Malay culture - The Bunga Pecah Empat (4 Petalled Lotus), which is a well known design made famous in songket (brocade or handwoven textiles).
Our vision with Rumah Gahara extends beyond batik - we are collaborating with NGOs and the newly created Malaysian Craft Council to empower the marginalised and single mothers in the craft.
Our collection fuses modern chic with traditional heritage to complement your quintessential Raya pieces like the Kebaya or your Kurong. These pieces also work as a great outerwear. We create pieces that you can bring out for a visit after a day in the office, and can recreate different looks even after the festivities.
